"Supporting Young People to Step into a Successful Future"

As one of the region's five Youth Transition Services, Connections provides advice, information and support to 15-19 year olds in the region.

Their Youth Support Advisors get in touch with school leavers and maintain contact over the phone until they turn 20, to help them towards their training or employment goals.

Connections can provide information about and links to service providers who will give guidance, support and advice on a range of topics including:

• Careers
• Jobs
• Personal development
• Learning
• Voluntary work
• Life issues
• Leisure options
• Health
• Money
• Relationships

Their aim....

• to ensure all young people aged 15-19 are connected to employment, training or other activities that will enhance their wellbeing
• to provide ongoing support and information for young people through referral to an appropriate Youth Transition Service or training provider
• to encourage young people to make positive choices for their future
• to ensure youth service providers are working together to meet the needs of young people
