Wellbeing Measures
Work has been progressing over the last few years on deciding wellbeing measures for the region. Wellbeing measures are required by legislation to
monitor community wellbeing in regards to how well the region is doing socially, culturally, environmentally and economically. In October 2008, 68
wellbeing measures were identified for the region and have been implemented into the Top of the South Indicators Report - September 2009. This
report was produced by way of a working party consisting of the three Top of the South Councils (Nelson City, Tasman District and Marlborough District),
the Ministry for Social Development, Nelson Regional EDA and the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board. To view the Reports findings, click on the
